What’s an advertorial? Aside from being a fun portmanteau, it’s an advertisement that has the look and feel of a proper article, which more and more brands are leaning towards. Here’s a selection of examples I’ve written, which include copy about a new type of financial loan, some summer movies at Cineplex and an outdoor art fair.
We could call magazine supplements the older sibling of advertorials. None of these were commissioned by individual brands, but the content, which is built around different themes, is meant to entice advertisers.
